LifeGroups create a space for people to intentionally share their lives with others, grow spiritually together, and encourage each other through the highs and lows of life. A LifeGroup Leader determines how often their group meets and what the focus of the group is. LifeGroups gather on campus, in homes, coffee shops, and other places where people love to connect—including online or through the Bible App.

First, give yourself a high five for taking the step to join a LifeGroup! Here are several easy ways to get connected:

• Visit the LifeGroups Area at TheBOD and talk to the staff or volunteers there. 
• Find a LifeGroup near you or one that meets digitally using this link.
• Talk to someone you know who leads a LifeGroup and ask if their group is open to new members.​​​​

Every LifeGroup is unique. Some discuss the weekend message or content from RightNow Media, some complete Bible Plans in the YouVersion Bible App together, and some serve together in the community. Two things you’ll find in every LifeGroup; the first is relationships. The second is conversations centered on God’s word that help people grow in their faith and apply it to their lives.

Absolutely! It’s understandable to want to find people you feel comfortable opening up to and developing friendships with. That being said, if you’ve joined a LifeGroup and aren’t sure if it’s the right fit for you, don’t give up. Keep in mind that there’s no such thing as a perfect LifeGroup because there are no perfect people. Remember to have grace and patience during the process. If it’s clear that this group isn’t the best fit for you, though, give another group a try.

Find a LifeGroup

This might be a sign that God is calling you to start a group! If God has placed a certain passion or calling within you, He might want you to take a step of faith and launch a LifeGroup around it. You won’t have to do this alone, though. Your LifeGroups/LifeMissions team is here to support you every step of the way.

Volunteer Application

First, fill out our Leader Application. After that, your LifeGroups team will reach out to help you prepare to lead your group. Then, you can invite people to your group and start meeting!

Don’t worry—you don’t have to a Bible scholar to lead a LifeGroup! We have lots of great resources to make leading a group as easy as possible, including conversation topics for your group, content to go through, tips for new leaders, and resources to help you develop and grow as a leader. You’ll also be connected to our LifeGroups Pastor, who will be there to support you with prayer, resources, and encouragement along the way.
